Around the Hochkeilhaus a lot of activities are waiting at the leisure mountain Hochkeil in Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Salzburg, Austria. Here are some great options for sports trips, active trips, group trips:
Skiing and snowboarding
Directly in front of the door is the natural snow skiing area Hochkeil. 5 T-bar lifts and a casual snow park invite you to enjoy the snow. In addition, there is the ski touring nature trail, a beautiful cross-country ski trail and the snowshoe hiking trail.
If you like to ski many kilometers of slopes, just hop on the free ski bus and in 20 minutes you are at the gondola to the ski region Hochkönig / Ski Amadé.
Hiking, mountaineering, climbing,
The Hochkeilhaus is perfectly situated for beautiful hikes in the Hochkönig area. From the small 15 minute hike to the next alpine pasture to extensive mountain tours to the summit of the Hochkönig, everything is possible. Also for climbers there is a lot to discover e.g. the bouldering room in the Hochkeilhhaus and the routes on the Torsäule!
Cycling and mountain biking
The peaks in the area invite to be conquered by bike. On the road, the Filzensattel and the Dientner Sattel as well as the ascent to the Arthurhaus can be mastered. With the mountain bike the Hochkeil can be conquered as well as many forest roads and trails. At the Arthurhaus there is also a charging station for your eBikes
Recreational activities at the Arthur House
One kilometer above the Hochkeilhaus, the petting zoo in the Arthurhaus, children’s playground, slackline park, as well as the Schmankerlalm Schweizerhütte await you.
Archery
Our guests receive special prices for the Hochkönig Bogen Parcours! There are 28 stations waiting with 3D animal figures, such as wild boar, deer marmots, chamois, a bear and many more.
The starting point of the Hochkönig archery course is the large parking lot at the Arthurhaus, one kilometer above the Hochkeilhaus.
Animal experience in the mountain village of animals
The little village of Mühlbach offers a swimming pool, mining museum, geocaching stations and shopping opportunities as well as pure animal experience! The unique offers around the mountain village of animals are fun for old and young!
